This is what traditional Yerba Mate enthusiasts enjoy their "Drink of the Gods" in. Yerba Mate has been enjoyed for thousands of years in South America. Being an actual gourd (5-6"high), you can imagine that each is a one of a kind gift from Mother Nature. The actual "process" of filling the Curia, steeping and drinking the Yerba is explained in the directions we include. The Bombilla (included)is a metal "straw" that has a mesh end, when placed in the bottom of the gourd, you drink the Mate through it.

You picked the correct tea, boiled the water to the right temperature, steeped for the exact length of time... DANG, that's a good cup of tea! Now how to keep it warm? A magic thing they call.. a tea warmer :) It's not really magic, at least we don't think it is. Place a tiny tea lite in the middle and set your pot on top- it'll keep the tea just the right temp. What a way to save money in the long run. Buy your tea loose (more value for your $ anyway). Buy a package of these EASY FILL tea bags. When you need to use a bag, like for the office or school, fill them- fold them over twice and your set! With 100 of these little buggers, it only adds .04 cents per cup of tea. Unfold, get the long edge of the bag wet, flip it over the side of the cup and it sticks to the inside.

These little spoons are the cutest things. What a great gift. They are designed to measure out the exact amount of loose tea into a strainer or tea bag (one tea spoon full). Personally I think a regular spoon from the kitchen drawer works better when filling the "Easy-Fill" tea bags. But these work GREAT for strainers.
