These tea flowers are hand sewn in remote tea gardens in the Yunnan province of China. The new leaves are picked early in the season and are carefully sewn, shaped by hand and dried to ensure quality and freshness. CHINA WHITE - White Peony (Pai Mu Tan) - White tea is more exspensive than other teas and considered the purest tea by some. Due in part to the delicate care that is needed with picking the tea buds, usually only in the Spring time. The other factor in it's "purity" is the fact White teas are plucked, dried and sorted. No pan firing or steaming is used to halt the fermentaion process. Giving whites their long twisted leaf appearence.

Earl Grey- A traditional British blend. Popular morning breakfast tea. A blend of various "hardier" black teas with the oil of bergamot which gives this brisk yet silky cup of tea its citrus, even floral hints. Being a blend of Black Teas, it'll give you that little "get up and go" feeling so you'll move your butt out the door faster!

Genmaicha - Is a green tea from Japan. During the fermentaion process it's roasted over dried rice, giving it a unique toasted rice flavor.

Keemun Imperial - This is our China Black tea. Keemuns are noted for their natural sweetness and less astringency. With hints of red wine, cocoa and orchids. Extra bonus - less caffine content than other Black teas!

Assam (India) Teas are a strong, full flavored taste. Dark, golden infusion, often used as a base in "Breakfast Teas". ORGANIC and one of the highest grades. TGFOP

Pu-erh (poo-yair) is a VERY hardy Black tea. Some may say... an acquired taste. It comes from the bold leaf tea which is from the providence of Yunnan in China. It's an "aged tea", which means as a result of it's oxidation process it actually gets smoother and "better" over time. Where most teas will lose taste and quality with time. It has a very EARTHY taste. In part because it's "composted" ( ...yes I said composted) during the finial phase of processing. Lower in tannins than other blacks it doesn't tend to become bitter when steeped. Actually the longer you steep it the STRONGER it becomes. This is the "wine" of teas... at least in concept.

Gunpowder Green Tea from China. This tea is growing in popularity, a little on the bitter side. The leaves are rolled into small balls while wet, giving it a unique characteristc. These small balls resemble "gun pellets" which one might say "gunpowder tea" obtained it's name from...

Yerba Mate (erba - ma-tay) This is a VERY popular drink from South America. Called "The Drink of the Gods" by many indigenous groups there, it has been enjoyed for centuries for its therapeutic properties. Found to have very similar chemical components to green tea; however, yerba mate is much more nutritious. Does contain a moderate amount of Caffeine
